Let CFSA’s Market Access Initiative help you assess the business side of your farm’s operations.


This consulting program will help you:

  • Assess the feasibility of a business plan and implementation timeline.
  • Maintain financial records and benchmarks.
  • Incorporate best practices in succession planting, post-harvest handling, washing, packing, storage, and transportation necessary to meet market specifications.
  • Design strategies to maximize efficiency, food safety, and workflow.
  • Develop and implement a business plan for accessing direct-to-consumer and/or wholesale markets.
  • Understand infrastructure, packaging, labeling, traceability, transporting, and basic food safety norms to meet wholesale buyer requirements.
  • Creating successful online marketing campaigns and a social media presence.

  • You will receive one-on-one technical assistance from a knowledgeable staff member, which is free with CFSA membership.

    2. Submit a Market Access consulting application.
    3. Be willing to complete surveys and provide information on how participation in the program has impacted your operation.
